“Sometimes things hurt when you are growing” said the Lord to me this morning. We have also heard it phrased as “growing pains.” I know a lot of us women have been faced with challenges and feel like the pain is just to much to bear, well lets stop here and be reminded that the Lord said he would never put more on us than we can bear. (1 Corinthians 10:13) With those same words, it doesn’t mean that we wont feel some pain. The Lord will allow pain in our life to teach us the importance of discipline, for those who the Lord loves he disciplines. All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness. (Hebrews 12:3-11)
Have any of us ever eaten the wrong food, (I’m guilty) and afterwards experienced pain in our bodies?. This is our bodies way of saying learn from this, and do not eat this again!. I believe pain and growth go hand in hand, you cant really have one without the other. The same rule applies when we grow spiritually, we must endure a little pain in order for us to learn, and in return we are able to teach.
How many of us had to endure pain, and became stronger because of it?
